Proudest Present produced--Picture Pillows!!! (pathetic post title :0 )

For less than $10 each, these were by far the gift I was most eager to give.  I bought one yard of burlap and Avery Transfer paper at our awesome local Walmart and Pillows for $5 each from Family Dollar.
I printed off a black and white pic on my little ink jet printer of each of my grandkids onto the transfer paper.
Just iron the picture onto the burlap using the instructions included in the transfer paper - unless of course you throw the instructions away before you do it.  Then you google it... works just as well!  One mistake I made - learn this from me - don't forget to trim the excess transfer paper from the edge of the picture.  The reason Hudson's pic is smaller is because I didn't trim it and had to pick all the glue off the burlap and shred the edges further to cover up my mistake.  Because of my lack of sewing ability, I hot glued the burlap on the pillows and put a small drop of glue on each corner to keep them from fraying further.  Hardest part of this project was picking the pictures!

I Know, because I KNOW!! ALMOST done!

I know that without God's inspiration, I am nothing - but there are many times when He SHOUTS His message.
This is one of those times.
I am decorating a "new" office for Counseling Associates of West Texas (Leann Hicks) in Sweetwater.  Did I mention that Leann is one of my favorit-ist heroes??  As I was praying about what to do and gathering my treasures, this print that Nathalie Kelley worshippinggodwithallmyart.blogspot.com made landed in my hand.  She had come in the real estate office one day and saw a tray  of door knobs.  She asked to take a picture of them. For Reals??  A few days later, she brought me a copy of her creation.  Amazing - I just hadn't found the perfect place for it.  But God....  He showed me that He is providing the keys - thru Leann and others- to unlocking and opening the doors that we have built - but we have to turn the key and open it ourselves.
Before
After - looks like home!

My Beautiful Model, Marlee - she even shares her candy!!! (check out the "key" chandelier!)

appetitizing!!!  Not

ahh.... Leann did most of this herself.  I showed her how to lay in the mosaic tile, but she grouted it  AND  put the new sink in.  Is there anything she can't do?
Garage Sale finds that I was able to tie into our new kitchen.  I was sure glad they like to drink coffee!
New life for a shiny brass chandelier.  I simply spray painted it white, then  modge podged coordinating scrapbook paper around the "candles"
Leann and Marlee put down sticky tile on the floor AND Leann put up fresh ceiling tiles!
